Bob Rohrer, CAE, FBCMManager

Bob Rohrer, CAE, FBCM serves as Manager for the Cook County Farm Bureau®, a position that he has held since 1999. He is also Executive Director of the Cook County Farm Bureau® Foundation. In his role, he supervises nine organizational staff positions; works with the board of directors and committees to fulfill the strategic plan of the organization; manages the finances of the Farm Bureau, Foundation, and Political Action Committee; manages the building and grounds; coordinates membership recruitment and service; develops strong partnerships with affiliated companies and area agribusiness leaders; and serves as editor of the organization’s publication, The Cooperator.

 

Previously, Rohrer served as Manager of the Kane County Farm Bureau®, Adams County Farm Bureau®, and Carroll County Farm Bureau®.  Each position provided Rohrer unique opportunities to work with area farmers and gain appreciation for farming and agriculture throughout the Midwest. He has worked within the Illinois Farm Bureau® organization since 1987.

 

Rohrer holds a B.S. in Occupational Safety.  In 1994, he earned his Farm Bureau Certified Manager (FBCM) certification from the Illinois Farm Bureau by completing various studies and exams related to Farm Bureau management skills. In 2010, he earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives.

 

Rohrer and his wife, Jayne, have six children and three grandchildern.
