Ag Adventures for Families winner: Roselyn A King
Roselyn A. King (age 88) was drawn as the winner of the special group of members (25 members were eligible) who entered the Ag Adventures for Families word search every month in 2022.
Her prize was a basket packed with agricultural related items with ties to Illinois, the Chicagoland area and Cook County Farm Bureau. Roselyn lives in Des Plaines has been a member since 2009. Farm Bureau manager, Bob Rohrer, stopped by her place to drop off the basket and had a great conversation.
She’s a widow, lives with her daughter and has 4 grandkids youngest is 23yrs old, no little ones in the house. She has donated to the CCFB Foundation, she’s a coffee drinker, loves to read and garden when she’s able to, loves animals; and shares a cat with her daughter. Originally from the Rochelle area, she never lived on the farm but has great memories of the rural areas. She was educated in one room schoolhouse.
