There’s AG on My Plate4th Grade
This follow-up to the Intro to Agriculture in Illinois program is designed to engage students in thoughtful discussion and activities connecting what farmers produce to the USDA MyPlate®. Students will learn the origins of food including tracing wheat from the farm to flour using real wheat (thresh, winnow, grind). Food labels will be analyzed to determine nutritional information and ingredients to show the importance of a making healthy nutritional choices. Requires teacher assistance for exercises and activities.
