Independent Contractor Opportunity - “Ag in the Classroom” Presenter
The Cook County Farm Bureau® Ag in the Classroom (AITC) program contracts with substitute teachers and others with classroom experience to present farm and food information in Chicago public, parochial, and suburban schools in Cook County.
The Cook County Farm Bureau Agriculture in the Classroom Program continues to expand and grow as more schools and educators look to add agriculture, farm and food education to their curriculum.
Our contracted presenters typically have classroom experience, excellent presentation, communication skills, and the desire to work with grade or middle school students and educators. Knowledge of agriculture and farming is important.
This is a part-time, independent contractor position. Independent contractors develop presentations based on Cook County Farm Bureau Agriculture in the Classroom guidelines, identify scheduling preferences, and cover transportation/contract expenses. Contracts are typically from September through May but may be extended for summer months if agreed upon. Individuals interested in contracting services should email aitc@cookcfb.org (Attn: Katrina Milton). No phone calls please.
