Master Urban Farmer Training Program (MUFTP) & Member Scholarship Financial Assistance

Cook County University of Illinois Extension

Applications are now active for the Fall 2022 Master Urban Farmer Training Program.

 The program will be:

  • online via Zoom on Mondays 6 – 8 pm, from October 3 – December 19, 2022, AND
  • Mandatory Orientation either Monday September 12  OR September 19, 6 – 7 pm
  • Optional evening or Saturday field days (dates TBD) at our demonstration farm in Matteson, IL.

 

Application deadline is Tuesday August 16, 2022.

  • You will be notified or your acceptance into the program the week of August 22.
  • If accepted, the course fee of $150 is due by September 9, 2022 to secure your seat.

There is an essay question on the application that asks about your motivation, goals and experience in Urban Ag. Please approach the application prepared for this question. If you leave the application, and later return (without having cleared your computers cookies), you should be able to resume the application where you left off.

Cook County Farm Bureau members interested in participating in the MUFTP training program may be eligible for a $100 tuition reimbursement scholarship upon completion of the program through the Cook County Farm Bureau Foundation:
