Cook County Farm Bureau Volunteers Recognized for Exceptional Involvement
Dan Biernacki, Janet McCabe, Karen Biernacki, and Gerry Kopping were all re-inducted into the Cook County Farm Bureau Master Member Club for 2021. Dan Biernacki, Gerry Kopping, and Karen Biernacki have been in the Club for five years. Janet McCabe has been in the Club for four years. McCabe achieved top point status by retaining four voting members.
Membership into the Club is accomplished by earning points by recruiting and reinstating voting and associate members during the year. Each received a gift card, and their names will be added to a wall display in the Cook County Farm Bureau boardroom.
Kim Morton (L) was presented the Co-Volunteer of the Year award by Pres. Janet McCabe on behalf of the Cook County Farm Bureau Board of Directors. Morton was very involved with the Governmental Affairs Team efforts to communicate to legislators and policymakers. She also volunteered as a part of the 2021 Cook County Farm Bureau Foundation drawdown fundraiser and is involved in the 2022 planning committee for the next Foundation Gala fundraiser. She serves as secretary-treasurer of the Cook County Farm Bureau PAC.
The nominator stated, “Kim is always a strong voice for agriculture and always supports cook County Farm Bureau. Kim gives of her time and talents freely.” Cook County Farm Bureau truly appreciates Kim Morton’s involvement and significant contributions to the organization!
Heidi Yunker was presented the Co-Volunteer of the Year award by Cook County Farm Bureau Board of Directors. Heidi has been a mainstay volunteer with the Member Relations Team, providing creative programming suggestions and coordinating programs, both in person and through videoconference. She is involved in the 2022 planning committee for the next Cook County Farm Bureau Foundation Gala fundraiser.
The nominator stated, “Heidi always shows a great love to support and highlight Cook County Farm Bureau. She provides great ideas of ways to help promote member benefits as well as recommends new benefits to keep members engaged and happy with their membership.” Cook County Farm Bureau truly appreciates Heidi Yunker’s involvement and significant contributions to the organization!
