Cream of Cauliflower or Broccoli SoupZeldenrust Farm Market, Chicago Heights
Ingredients
- 6 c water
- 10 chicken bouillon cubes
- 4 ribs of celery (cut up)
- 1 c onion (cut up)
- 1 t. salt
- ¼ t pepper
- ½ t garlic powder
- 8 c fresh cauliflower or broccoli (cut up)
Directions
Boil above ingredients until tender, about 15 minutes.
- 1 stick of butter
- 2 c milk
- 8 T flour
- 2 c heavy cream
In saucepan melt butter; stir in flour, milk and heavy cream until blended. Optional: ¼ lb of American cheese added gives good flavor.
