20th Annual Giant Pumpkin ContestBringing in the Giants
20th annual GIANT PUMPKIN CONTEST at Puckerville Farms, Lemont, on Saturday, October 3rd brought in some giants! The adult division winning pumpkin weighed in at 724 lbs and was grown by our youngest ever winner, member Alyssa Kochanny, followed by pumpkin growing friends, John Sailor (243 lbs) and Randy Oyster (219 lbs). The youth division winners grew giants as well; Jessica Miller took 1st place with a 187 lb pumpkin, followed by Eric Fuchs (156 lbs) and Valerie Doorneweerd (22 lbs).

| Puckerville Farm (Lemont), owned by Rick & Joy Homerding, hosted the 20th Annual Giant Pumkin Contest sponsored by the Commodities/Marketing Team. The winning pumpkin, grown by Alyssa Kochanny, weighed in at 724 lbs. and required a loader tractor to bring to the scale. |
