Nutrient Stewardship Field Day 2026 will take place at Smits Farms on September 15^th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm (Rain or Shine).

Free lunch will be provided. Smits Farms is located at 3437 East Sauk Trail in Chicago Heights, IL.

Potential Topics Include:

• Presentation on updated struvite research (Dr. Andrew Margenot – University of Illinois)
• Fall/Spring fertilizer and fertility considerations for organic and conventional farm production (in today’s volatile pricing concerns)

Panel Discussion will include:

• Mulch/compost guidelines for vegetable production
• Field tour
